Registered 20 total innings of work, striking out 22 batters to go with a 2-0 record, one save, and a 4.95 ERA ... Notched a win against Clarkson on 4/4, tossing five strong innings and striking out eight, matching career-highs in both categories ... Matched his career-highs in IP and SO with five innings and eight strikeouts in a win over SUNY Canton on 4/11 ... Picked up his first career save versus Fredonia on 5/6.
2022 (Junior): Named to SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll... Appeared in 10 games, earning one start ... Picked up one win with a 5.21 ERA over 19 IP, striking out 20 batters while walking just nine ... Had five innings of eight strikeout ball against SUNY Canton on 5/1 to earn his first collegiate win.
2021 (Sophomore): Made two appearances... Recorded a 34.71 ERA with one walk and three strikeouts in 2.1 innings pitched.
2020 (First-Year):
Named to SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll... Did not appear in a game... Season ended on March 12, due to COVID-19 pandemic... Played in the Hudson River Collegiate Baseball League (HRCBL) int he the summer and was named to the 2020 HRCBL All-Star Team.
High School: Played baseball for two years at Columbia High School... part of section II champion champion team... Received Academic Excellence Award for being a student-athlete... Played club for the Sorensco Falcons, winning multiple district championships and the Eastern New York State Championship (2017).
Personal: Son of Sandra and Joseph Nista... Sister, Natalie, played for the Plattsburgh State women's soccer team... Enjoys playing a variety of competitive sports, video games and spending time with family.
