Had an assist in the team's SUNYAC win versus Geneseo (Sept. 24) ... Scored a goal in the team's SUNYAC win versus Oswego St . on Oct. 8 ... Attempted 17 shots, with five being on goal ... Played a season-high 66 minutes versus New Paltz on Sept. 21.

2021 (Senior): Named to SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll ... Nominated as Team Captain during the regular season... Participated in 4 starts over 8 total games, recording 219 total minutes played... Performed in two matches having 2 points against Russell Sage College on Sept. 21 and against SUNY Geneseo on Oct. 16... Tallied a season high in minutes (58) against SUNY Brockport on Oct. 15.

2020 (Junior): Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Before Plattsburgh State: Competed for Suffolk County Community College for two years... Saw action in 31 matches, tallying nine career points on three goals and three assists.

High School: Competed in soccer (four years), baseball (two years) and basketball (two years) at Shoreham-Wading River High School... In soccer, was two-time All-Conference, two-time All-Division and one-time All-County in addition to earning Suffolk County All-Star status in 2018... Served as a captain of the soccer team for two years... Gained club experience playing for Lake Grove-Newfield Rebels (2015-18) and SUSA B00/01 (2018-19).

Personal: Son of Larry and Marsha Ekert... Father, Larry, played football at Nassau Community College and Hofstra University from 1990-94... Enjoys running, playing poker, watching soccer and playing football in his spare time.
