PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State men's ice hockey alumnus Nick Jensen '14 has been named to Denmark's Olympic men's ice hockey roster for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
Jensen, who plays professional hockey for the Fischtown Pinguins of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, is no stranger to representing Denmark on the global stage, having competed at the World Championships on nine occasions.
From 2010–11 to 2013–14, Jensen skated for Plattsburgh State, scoring 26 goals and adding 42 assists for 68 career points across 95 games played. He earned Third-Team CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American honors in 2013–14 and helped lead the Cardinals to State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) championships in 2010–11 and 2011–12.
Denmark qualified for the Olympic Games by winning its Final Olympic Qualification group on home ice in Aalborg. The Danes secured their spot with victories over Norway, Great Britain, and Japan, winning all three contests. Denmark will compete in Group C alongside the United States, Germany, and Latvia, opening its Olympic campaign on Feb. 12 against Germany.
