In the bottom of the fourth, the Kangaroos scored three runs, capped by a two-run single from Maldonado, taking the lead into the fifth inning.
After a scoreless fifth inning on both sides, the Cardinals responded, as Wein singled to left and brought in two runs to allow Plattsburgh to retake the lead.
Joey Di Rocco (Congers, N.Y./Clarkstown South) added on with a single to left later in the inning to score Wein, putting the Cards up 6-3.
In the seventh, the team added two more runs, as Kowal singled in a run and an error followed to bring in another Cardinal and put them up 7-3.
Canton responded with two runs in the seventh inning to cut the lead back to two, but Caldwell singled home two runs in the top of the eighth to push the Plattsburgh cushion back to four runs.
The Cards gave more insurance to their bullpen in the ninth as Cremin doubled to left to bring home both Wein and Di Rocco, and Kornblau tripled him home in the ensuing at-bat to put them up 12-5.
In the ninth, after a leadoff walk, Goldberg induced a double play and then a game-ending groundout to give Plattsburgh the SUNYAC series win.
