th minute, but the Saints' keeper made an excellent stop to keep the game knotted at zero.
St. Lawrence took the lead in the 27
th minute, as Grant Gilmer scored his second goal of the season off a Gustav Scheibler assist. The Saints held the 1-0 lead into halftime, where they also held an 8-7 advantage on shots.

rd minute that was turned away by a diving Saints keeper, keeping St. Lawrence in the lead.
Plattsburgh State continued to generate chance after chance, but could not get a shot by the Saints as the game clock continued to wind down. A free kick just outside the box in the 86
th minute went off the head of
Thomas O'Neill (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) and wide right on an attempted redirect in what looked like an easy chance for the Cards to tie the game.
Soon after, Plattsburgh had another strong chance on goal as a loose ball in the box saw another saved Hayes' shot. The play looked to be dead but a skirmish in the box resulted in a red card for the Saints, and a penalty kick was awarded to the Cardinals. Hayes deposited the attempt to the keeper's left as he dove right, tying the game and giving the team an excellent chance to steal a win with St. Lawrence down to 10 men. Plattsburgh could only attempt one more shot over the final three and a half minutes, however, leading to 1-1 tie.
George Charalambous made three saves in the first half for St. Lawrence, while Parker Sinclair made six saves and earned a tie with his effort in net.
