GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Junior forward Mitchell Hale (Oakfield, N.Y./Johnstown Tomahawks [NAHL]) of the Plattsburgh State men's ice hockey team has been named a 2021-22 Krampade/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American Scholar, as announced by the AHCA.

This marks the third Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholar accolade for Hale, who finished the 2021-22 campaign with 18 points on five goals and 13 assists in addition to blocking a team-high 24 shots. He fashioned a +5 rating and scored both a power-play goal (against Fredonia on Feb. 5) and a shorthanded goal (against Castleton University on Oct. 30). For his career, Hale has registered 28 points on seven goals and 28 assists.

In order to qualify for Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholar recognition, student-athletes must achieve a 3.75 GPA in each semester and appear in 40% of the season's total games.

Plattsburgh State went 15-8-3 overall (11-4-1 SUNYAC) in 2021-22, earning the No. 3 seed in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament.
