ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's volleyball team dropped its first match at the Hartwick Tournament hosted by Hartwick College on Friday night, falling, 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-16), to Baldwin Wallace College at Lambros Arena.
Baldwin Wallace scored at an efficient rate during the match, fashioning a .316 hitting percentage. The Yellow Jackets also held the upper hand in service aces (4-1) and blocks (6-1).
Plattsburgh State drops to 3-7 overall with the loss and wraps up play at the Hartwick Tournament tomorrow with matches against King's College (3 p.m.) and host Hartwick (5 p.m.). Baldwin Wallace rises to 10-0 overall with the win and concludes play at the Hartwick Invitational tomorrow with matches against Lycoming College (11 a.m.) and SUNY Oneonta (1 p.m.).

Michelle Simmons (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly) helped lead the Cardinal attack with a .333 (3-0-9) hitting percentage, while senior right side
Lexi Pascal (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) posted a team-high six kills. Freshman setter
Allyssa Rock (West Chazy, N.Y./Beekmantown) distributed 18 assists, while sophomore outside hitter/right side
Hunter Grotjohn (Scottsdale, Ariz./Horizon) defended 13 digs.
For Baldwin Wallace, junior outside hitter Alicia Lortcher posted a match-high 12 kills, while freshman setter Kathleen Egan handed out 28 assists and floored four aces.
