Ernesta McIntosh (Lincoln, Vt. / Mt. Abraham) scored Plattsburgh State's only goal in their 2-1 loss to No. 12 Geneseo Saturday evening at the Field House Complex.
Plattsburgh State remains the second seed in the SUNYAC with an overall record of 11-4-2 and 6-1-2 in the conference while Geneseo moved to 14-1-1 overall and 8-1 in the conference to stay the first seed.

Nichole Gibson (Arkport, N.Y. / Arkport) made six saves to keep the Knights at bay and the Cardinals headed into halftime with a 0-0 score.
The second half proved to be more thrilling with each team fighting for that first goal.
McIntosh struck first in the 52
nd minute with a quick shot in front of the net and put the ball into the bottom right corner.
Sarah Haight (East Meredith, N.Y. / Charlotte Valley) picked up her eighth assist of the season on the Cardinal's first goal.
The Knights scored one minute later with a pass from the right side that was tapped into the bottom left corner.
With the game tied 1-1 both teams were in a battle to get that second goal and take claim of the number one seed in the SUNYAC.
Geneseo's Audrey Reid, who leads the conference in points, scored their second goal in the 78
th minute with a rocket to the top left corner that was out of reach for Gibson.
The Cardinals tried hard to tie the game but the score remained 2-1 when the buzzer sounded and Plattsburgh State took their first conference loss.
The Cardinal defense held the Knights to just 10 shots in the second half.
Gibson recorded 10 saves in her 90:00 minutes in goal and the team recorded one.
Haight had three shots, two on net;
Madeline Saccocio (Schenectady, N.Y. / Schalmont) had two shots and
Rachael Moran (Hopewell Junction, N.Y. / Arlington) had on shot on goal.
Plattsburgh State is on the road Tuesday for a non-conference game against SUNY Canton at 7 p.m.
The Cardinals will host semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1 with their opponent to be determined after round one play on Saturday, Oct. 28.
