GENESEO, N.Y. – In the last game of the regular season for the Plattsburgh State women's soccer team, the Cardinals fell to the Geneseo Knights 3-0 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play on Saturday afternoon.
It was not the best offensive showing for the Cardinals this season, who only managing seven shots in the contest, with three shots on goal.
The Knights were able convert on their 10 shots in the game, and Emily Green, Taylor Clar and Audrey Reid all capitalized on the scoring opportunities.
Taylor Adams (Schenectady, N.Y./Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons) got the nod in net for Plattsburgh State, and made two saves.

Madeline Saccocio (Schenectady, N.Y./Schalmont) and graduate student
Cammey Keyser (Keeseville, N.Y./AuSable Valley) led the Cardinals with two shots each.
With the loss, Plattsburgh finishes its 2016 regular season at 10-8 overall, and 5-4 in conference play.
The Cardinals have clinched the fourth seed in the SUNYAC postseason, and will host the Oswego State Lakers next Saturday at 1 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the SUNYAC tournament.
The Cardinals hosted Oswego earlier this season, and defeated Lakers in overtime 1-0 on September 30th.
