Cardinals Rebound with a 6-0 Win Over Buffalo State

Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's hockey took to the road for the first of five-straight road games looking to rebound from a loss to Geneseo the last time they hit the ice against Buffalo State coasting to a 6-0 win.

The Cardinals would score quick as senior Michael Cassidy would tally a team-high ninth goal a mere 45 seconds into the game.

In the category you wouldn't see every day, Michael Radisa would tally a short-handed goal on a penalty shot with just over minute left in the first.

The other special teams unit would get a goal themselves as Dillan Fox would make it 3-0 ten minutes into the second period on the power play.

The senior, Mark Constantine would make it 4-0 Plattsburgh State with exactly one minute remaining in the second period.

The third period would be more of the same for the Cardinals as they would tally two more goals both from the stick of Kevin Emmerling.

Emmerling's second goal would be on the power play as the Cardinals finished 2-5 on the extra man opportunity tonight.

Cardinals goaltender Brady Rouleau finished with his second shutout on the season stopping all 15 shots he faced. Bengals goalie Ian Sylves allowed six goals on 31 shots.

Plattsburgh State 16-4-1 and now more importantly 11-2-0 in the SUNYAC as they still hold their own destiny to the number one seed in the SUNYAC tournament.

The Cardinals will travel to Fredonia State Saturday to take on the Blue Devils who they defeated 4-1 earlier in the year. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
