PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The Plattsburgh State women's basketball team will host its annual Play 4Kay game on Saturday, February 15, as the Cardinals take on Oswego State in Memorial Hall. The SUNYAC tilt is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
The Cardinals will be selling pink Play 4Kay t-shirts during the men's game which is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. In addition to the shirts, the Cardinals will also be holding a 50/50 raffle during the men's game to help raise funds for CVPH's Treasure Chest Foundation.
Joining the fundraising efforts of the Cardinal women's basketball team will be the Plattsburgh State softball team as it will be conducting a pink paper airplane for cancer activity during halftime of both the women's and men's contest that day.
Play 4Kay, formerly known as WBCA Pink Zone, is an initiative that allows a nation of coaches to raise awareness and funds for cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has raised over $2 million dollars to support women's cancer research. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the official charity of the initiative.
