GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - Global Spectrum, the management company of the Glens Falls Civic Center, is pleased to announce the first annual Hockey Weekend in the Adirondacks on January 4 and 5. The weekend will include the Plattsburgh State Cardinals facing-off against the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in a NCAA Men’s Division III college hockey non-conference matchup on Friday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. The Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League will host the Connecticut Whale the following night at 7 p.m. This will be the first college hockey game held at the Glens Falls Civic Center since Global Spectrum entered the building in 2008.
 
Tickets go on sale Thursday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. and are priced at $5 for seats behind either goal and $10 for side seats. Students from Skidmore College or SUNY Plattsburgh’s main and branch campus will be admitted for free by presenting a valid Student ID at the box office. Tickets for the general public can be purchased online at

Plattsburgh State season ticket holders are guaranteed seats for the game as an added benefit to their 2012-13 season ticket package. Season ticket holders will simply be asked to present photo ID at the Glens Falls Civic Center box office on the night of the game to receive their tickets at no cost.
 
Through a direct promotion with the Adirondack Phantoms, hockey fans can also participate in our “Hockey Weekend in the Adirondacks Package”.  This offer includes two tickets to see Plattsburgh take on Skidmore on Friday night, two tickets to see the Phantoms face-off with the Connecticut Whale on Saturday, plus two “All You Can Eat” Italian-Style buffet passes prior to Saturday’s Phantoms game. The one-time package also includes a hotel room for Friday night at the Queensbury Ramada.
