Cardinals Volleyball Team Splits First Day at Victory Promotions Invitational

CANTON, N.Y.
- The Plattsburgh State volleyball team split a pair of matches to begin the Victory Promotions Invitational hosted by SUNY Potsdam on Friday evening.  The Cardinals defeated Oswego State 25-17, 25-20, 25-15 before falling to Hamilton College 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

With the split, the Cardinals fall to 3-4 on the year.

In the victory of Oswego, Rosi Cummings led the team with 11 kills.  Setter Kayla Nason added 20 assists.  Defensively, Andrea Kalter got eight digs and Kayla Hoopes had five blocks.

In a rematch of last weekend, Cummings had eight kills and five digs against Hamilton.  Lilly picked up seven kills and three digs.  Nason recorded 19 assists and Kalter had a team-best ten digs.  Chyresse Wells added six digs of her own.

Play continues tomorrow as Plattsburgh faces Cazenovia College at 11 a.m.  The Cardinals wrap up the weekend against Southern Vermont at 1 p.m.
