PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State volleyball team showed incredible resiliency Tuesday night but was unable to overcome St. Lawrence, suffering a 25-23, 24-26, 25-17, 25-21 loss in its home opener at Memorial Hall.
The Saints improve to 4-1 on the year while the Cardinals fall to 2-3.
Rosi Cummings led Plattsburgh with 14 kills. Cummings and freshman Nancy Vickerson contributed 14 digs apiece. Andrea Kalter added 13 digs. Kayla Nason posted a team-high 26 assists.
The Cardinals finished the night with a .058 attack percentage.
Plattsburgh hits the road this weekend for the Victory Promotions Invitational on the campus of SUNY Potsdam. The Cardinals will face Oswego State and Hamilton College on Friday. The second day of action includes matches against Cazenovia and Southern Vermont.
