Cardinal Volleyball Suffers Two Losses at Final Day of SUNYAC Pool Play

ONEONTA, N.Y.
– The Plattsburgh State volleyball team suffered two losses on the final day of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play, wrapping up a tough 0-4 weekend against conference opponents.

Plattsburgh fell to SUNY Cortland, 3-0 (12-25, 20-25, 13-25) in the first match of the day and suffered the same fate against Oneonta, dropping the match 3-2 (25-23, 25-16, 21-25, 19-25, 12-15), later in the afternoon.

Against the Red Dragons, Rosi Cummings had seven kills.  Kayla Nason recorded team-highs with 16 assists and 16 digs.

Cummings led the Cardinals with 14 kills, four aces and 15 digs against Oneonta.  Nason picked up 44 assists in the five-set match.

The Cardinals (8-10, 0-4 SUNYAC) return to action next Saturday at the Ramapo Invitational.
