PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Oct. 22, 2011) – The Plattsburgh State women’s volleyball team dropped two matches in the final day of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play.  The Cardinals lost to New Paltz, 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-21) Saturday morning, before falling 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-9) in a match against Cortland.
 
In the match against New Paltz, Kayla Nason provided 25 assists.  Rosi Cummings led the team with 10 kills and Andrea Kalter added 27 digs.  Nancy Vickerson picked up two service aces and Maggie Schrantz had three solo blocks and one block assist.
 
In the final match of the day versus Cortland, Kalter posted a team-high 16 digs.  Theresa Lilly finished with seven kills and two blocks.  Meghan Clifford stepped in and contributed 16 assists, while Nason added eight.  Abby Mell had three solo blocks and one block assist.
 
Plattsburgh wraps up the regular season next weekend at the Skidmore Invitational.
