PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Oct. 21, 2011) – The Plattsburgh State women’s volleyball team suffered two losses in the first day of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play, falling to Oneonta and Potsdam.
In the first match of the day, Oneonta defeated Plattsburgh 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-19). The Cardinals also dropped their second match of the day to Potsdam, losing 3-0 (25-20, 26-23, 25-14).
Against Oneonta, Rosi Cummings contributed a team-high 17 kills accompanied by eight digs. Andrea Kalter added 13 digs and Kayla Nason gave the Cardinals 23 assists.
In the match against Potsdam, Cummings again paced Plattsburgh with 11 kills. Nason posted a team-high 27 assists and 10 digs.
Plattsburgh continues conference play tomorrow against New Paltz at 10 a.m. and Cortland at 2 p.m.
