Women's Volleyball goes 1-2 at Ramapo Invitational

MAHWAH, N.J. – The Plattsburgh State women’s volleyball went 1-2 at the Ramapo Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals won their first match, 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-17), against Mount St. Vincent before dropping their matches against Centenary College and Ramapo later in the day.

In the win over Mount St. Vincent, Meghan Clifford picked up 26 assists. Rosi Cummings contributed nine kills and Andrea Kalter had a team-best 17 digs.

The Cardinals fell 3-1 (18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-18) in their second match against Centenary College. Clifford recorded 31 assists while Kalter racked up 26 digs. Theresa Lilly added 10 kills.

In the final match of the afternoon, Ramapo defeated Plattsburgh 3-1 (20-25, 28-26, 25-19, 27-25). Clifford added another 36 assists to finish the day with a total of 93. Cummings recorded 19 kills and Kalter had 19 digs. Abby Mell totaled seven kills, five blocks and two block assists.

The Cardinals (9-12) return to action next weekend at the Hamilton Invitational. Plattsburgh match at Saint Michael’s, originally scheduled for Wednesday night, has been postponed.  A makeup date for that match has not been determined at this time.
