INDIANAPOLIS - Plattsburgh State, the State University of New York Athletic Conference runner-up, got new life late Sunday night when the Cardinals learned that they received one of four at-large bids to the 11-team NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship, which begins Wednesday with three first-round games. Plattsburgh got a bye to the National Quarterfinals and a date at Middlebury College in Kenyon Arena on Saturday (7 p.m.). The Panthers earned automatic qualification after capturing the New England Small College Athletic Conference championship.
