A posthumous inductee, Ralph earned recognition as one of Plattsburgh State’s top runners in cross country. He set three college distance event records in track. In 1963, he became a member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men’s Cross Country Hall of Fame.

Ralph then became a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and in August of 1968, he was killed in action during the Vietnam War. He posthumously received The Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism and a “selfless devotion to duty.”
