Plattsburgh State Athletics

Stone collected multiple awards during his swimming career at Plattsburgh State. He was a three-time NAIA All-American and a conference and school record holder in multiple events. During the 1968-69 season, Stone became the first recipient of the James Fulton Award, an award based on All-SUNYAC honors and improvement throughout collegiate career and academic achievement. After school, Stone coached youth swimming programs.
