During his collegiate career, Neil Sesselman enjoyed success as both a baseball and basketball player. In the 1960-61 basketball season, he played 14 games with 45 points and 19 rebounds. Sesselman also spent his entire college days playing baseball.
At the time of his induction, Sesselman held multiple single-season and career records. His 22 runs scored were second-most and 29 hits were third-most in a single season. In 1962, he clubbed four triples with 17 walks. That season, he was named to the NAIA All-American Second Team the SUNYAC Second Team. Sesselman finished his career with 42 runs, 57 hits, 26 RBIs and a .341 batting average. He was a member of the 1960 SUNYAC co-championship team and a team captain in 1963.
Sesselman is a retired elementary and middle school remedial mathematics teacher who served more than 30 years in the classroom. In that time, he also coached Little League baseball.
