A posthumous inductee, Margaret “Meg” Knott was a vital member of the basketball team during her playing career. Her coaches and teammates remember Meg as a “special person — a motivator and team leader whose great attitude on and off the basketball court placed her among the elite student-athletes whose contributions far exceeded statistical boundaries.”
She was a beloved high school coach and respected softball official and umpire in the Hudson Valley region. Meg’s example, sportsmanship and enthusiasm toward sports and life carries on in creation of the permanent Meg Knott Memorial at Block Park in Kingston, N.Y.
