An accomplished swimmer, Dr. Marianne Jeffreys was part of a Cardinal squad that set a team and pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke during the 1978-79 season. Jeffreys also shined in the classroom, earning Dean’s List recognition en route to a degree in nursing education.

Where are they now?
At the time of her induction, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at CUNY Staten Island. Jeffreys was a researcher and published author on subject of academic and environmental variables on academic achievement. She mentored disadvantaged students and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Kappa Delta Pi international honor societies.
