Biography

2011 (Junior): Started nine games and went 4-4 with a team-leading 27 strikeouts as the team’s No. 1 starter … His 2.08 ERA was lowest among eligible Cardinal pitchers … Led team with three SUNYAC wins … Picked up first win of the season at New Paltz (March 29) by throwing seven scoreless innings with five hits allowed and five strikeouts … Earned wins against Fredonia (April 10), Oswego (April 22) and Canton (May 7) … Received American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-New York region gold glove award by not committing an error 56.1 innings.

2010 (Sophomore):  Went the distance for the win, 3-2, at Oneonta (April 11) to help the Cardinals split the SUNYAC twinbill, allowing two runs and striking out eight...set a career high with four victories, which was tied for second on the staff...also set personal highs in strikeouts and saves.  


2009 (Freshman):  Made nine appearances, including four starts...1-3 record...Presidential Scholarship recipient.

High School: Also lettered in soccer (4) and basketball (2) at South Glens Falls...2008 Foothills Council baseball MVP...won 2008 league title with a 12-2 record and ranked as high as second in the state...four-year letterman and two-time team captain...prep coach was MIke Yeager...soccer team captain and first-team all-league...twice served as basketball team captain...played summer baseball for American Legion Post 553...worked as a sports camp counselor.

Personal: Born Tyler Matteson Greene on March 26, 1990 in Glens Falls, N.Y....son of Ethan and Judy Signor Greene...mother played basketball at Plattsburgh State...mathematics secondary education major and athletic coaching minor.
