PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Plattsburgh State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will be hosting an ice hockey season ticket pick-up reception in the Field House lobby from 6-8 p.m.
 
The first 500 season ticket holders to show up will receive a complimentary poster that features the schedules of the men's and women's ice hockey teams.
 
Also on Oct. 22, both Plattsburgh State ice hockey teams will compete in their annual Red/White scrimmages at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. The women will scrimmage from 4:30-6 p.m., while the men will scrimmage from 7-9 p.m. Both scrimmages are open to the public.
 
Additional season ticket pick-up times will be offered on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4-7 p.m. at the Field House Ticket Office. A photo ID is required for ticket pick-up. If you still have your season ticket cards from last season, and indicated this when you completed your online renewal, your passes have been reactivated and you do not need to pick up new cards.
 
Both teams open up play on Saturday, Oct. 29, with a pair of exhibition contests at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. The women take on the Hockey Training Institute at 3 p.m., while the men square off with Cegep André-Laurendeau at 7 p.m.
 
The men open up regular-season competition at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena on Saturday, Nov. 5, against SUNY Canton at 7 p.m., while the women kick off the regular season on the road with a pair of Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West games at William Smith College from Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 5-6. The women's first regular-season home game of the year is on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. against Norwich University.
